Now Available on DVD/Blu-Ray From Warner Home Video

Although Father’s Day has just past, there are still great opportunities to give DVD’s.  And classics are always welcome.  The following all came out this month, and whether your buying for birthdays, or Canada Day, these will be appreciated.

A Star is Born Blu-Ray Book – Available June 22nd

Today, WHV released yet another classy Blu-Ray Book.  This time, it’s A Star is Born, starring Judy Garland and James Mason.  Along with the 40-page book inside, the set includes a blu-ray of the film and a DVD of special features.

A Star is Born is 2 hours, and 56 minutes long, and is rated PG.

Caddyshack Blu-Ray – Available June 8th

Now on Blu-Ray comes a 30 anniversary release of Caddyshack – the comedy that pits guys against gophers.  The disc also includes the following special features:  Bio™ Caddyshack: The Inside Story-Comprehensive Feature-Length 30th Anniversary Documentary With the Movie’s Cast and Crew; Plus: Caddyshack: The 19th Hole-Retrospective Featurette; and the original Theatrical Trailer.

Caddyshack is 99 minutes long, and is rated 14A.

Kelly’s Heroes/Where Eagle’s Dare Blu-Ray Action Double Feature – Available June 1st

Also released on June 1st (along with The Eastwood Factor), are two classic Eastwood films.  The double bill Blu-Ray includes the original theatrical trailers for both films, as well as the vintage featurette On Location: Where Eagles Dare.

Kelly’s Heroes is 2 hours, 23 minutes, and is rated 14A.

Where Eagle’s Dare is 2 hours, 35 minutes, and is rated PG.

The Eastwood Factor – Extended Version DVD – Available June 1st

Narrated by Morgan Freeman, this is a documentary about how for the last 35 years of his legendary career, Clint Eastwood’s called Warner Bros. home.   A film by Richard Schickel-film historian, this includes memorable film clips, visits to movie locations, and to Eastwood’s hometown.  Profiling his craft both in front and behind the camera, this is a film for any Eastwood fan.

The Eastwood Factor is 88 minutes, and is rated PG.
