Blu-ray Release: Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb
By John Corrado
Today, 20th Century Fox is releasing Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb on Blu-ray. Larry Daly (Ben Stiller) faces a new challenge when the reanimated historical figures at the Museum of Natural History start to lose control. With the tablet that allows them to come alive quickly losing power, the only way to stop them from being eternally frozen is to travel to the British Museum.
As a fan of the first two films, I really enjoyed this wildly entertaining third chapter. Fast and fun, with a few inspired comic bits and some surprisingly touching scenes, Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb is a fitting conclusion to the series, with the presence of the late Robin Williams providing a bittersweet and heartfelt centre. My full review can be found right here.
The Blu-ray includes commentary with director Shawn Levy, deleted and extended scenes, as well as multiple featurettes on the production.
Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb is 98 minutes and rated PG.
