Today, 20th Century Fox is releasing the TV special Madly Madagascar on DVD, on behalf of DreamWorks Animation.  Alex the Lion (Ben Stiller) is trying to have a nice Valentine’s Day in Africa, but his friends seem to be ignoring him as Marty (Chris Rock) becomes lovestruck and Melman (David Schwimmer) tries to impress Gloria (Jada Pinkett Smith).  The penguins provide some of the funniest scenes, and Madly Madagascar is a brightly animated short that plays as an amusing companion piece to the entertaining trilogy of animated films.

The DVD also includes the incredibly charming short film First Flight, the first time it has been available after playing with Over the Hedge in 2006.

Madly Madagascar is 22 minutes and rated G.
